This lined jacket is characterized by an outside of black satin, a lining of pink satin and straight collar with buttons down the front. The collarband, cuffs, front opening and lower hem are all edged with yellow satin lace. The chest, back and shoulders are all embroidered with symmetrical theme patterns of phoenixes and floral medallions. The sleeves and lower hem are embroidered with designs of waves, chrysanthemum, ears of wheat and cranes, symbolic of wealth and auspiciousness as well as longevity and well-being. It is tied at the front with two flower-shaped frogs with blue satin belts, with two silver peach-shaped hanging bells. The collar fastens with a simple knot button.
