The embroidery has a boy in the center surrounded with buffalo, swallows, willows, islands, and a poem written by Yang Shizhuo in the upper left corner which proclaims the theme of the picture. This piece is mainly embroidered with Can needle, Ping needle, Song needle, Xuanmao needle, Jie needle and some other ways. With even and thin thread, fresh and elegant colors, and excellent workmanship, this piece is a top notch work among Hunan embroidery from the late years of the Qing Dynasty.
