A Jielong hat is composed of top, body, edge, and some silver pieces which  differ in size and shape. Its shape is a lilted like a general’s helmet from ancient times. The hat has 9 silver pieces, one of which is 2 chi (a note of the scale, corresponding to 2 in numbered musical notation)and made up of different silver designs of insects, fish, birds, and animals. These silver pieces are linked together, hanging down to the lower hem.
